ARCHBISHOP MOLLOY HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY & IT CENTER
LOCATION: QUEENS, NY
SIZE:3,000 SF
Striving to keep up with the fast paced technology and growing computer-savy student population, Archbishop Molloy, a Catholic Marist High School, has teamed up with TPD Architecture to create a state of the art, multi-functional Student Library that encourages focused learning and prepares students academically for college.
A creative layout has been developed to provide ABM with a flexible space that provides a well thought out working Library, a separate Computer Lab providing students with access to advanced technology and a new multi-use Conference Room – all of which can be tailored to accommodate various school events throughout the year. TPDA’s design solution highlights the existing structural elements within the space, provides efficient and elegant lighting, easily maintained and welcoming finishes, inspirational graphic messages, durable and attractive furniture and an overall sense of warmth.
