F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE - BLUE SPRUCE HISTORIC ADAPTIVE REUSE & HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL ASSESSMENT
LOCATION: Laramie county, wyoming
SIZE: varies SF
TPD Architecture performed feasibility and schematic design layout studies for the conversion of two historic Blue Spruce residential homes to a connected community center. A new historically inspired connector addition, housing reception and waiting areas connect the two original residential homes with integrated landscaping features.
Each of the existing historic homes would be reconfigured to house the Community Center program requirements while still maintaining the majority of the buildings historic configuration and details.
TPD Architecture also performed architectural feasibility studies and extensive historic rehabilitation reviews for the Francis E. Warren Air Force Base (FEWAFB) Historic Housing Maintenance Project. TPDA assisted Balfour Beatty Construction to successfully win the Federal project award for the refurbishment and maintenance of the several Historic Districts within the base; Sergeants Row, Historic Housing and Blue Spruce, with buildings dating back to 1885. The Francis E. Warren Air Force Base Military Family Housing (MFH) is part of one the oldest Army Garrisons - Fort D.A. Russell National Historic Landmark (NHL), Laramie County, Wyoming.
