LAGUARDIA AIRPORT CENTRAL TERMINAL: MARKETPLACE DEVELOPMENT

TPD Architecture and MarketPlace Development (MPD) collaborated in the design and development of renovations to the Central Terminal at LaGuardia Airport.  Included in the renovations were the West Food Court and the Center Food Court with the goal of attracting people to the retail shopping arcade and casual dining restaurants on both the Departures and Arrivals levels.  With the design and integration of new custom dining counter/charging stations in the food courts, upgrades to the flooring, custom column enclosures and additional seating, more energized and alluring passenger accommodations have been created.

New programmable signage systems, graphics and way-finding are designed to guide people with greater ease and improve the visibility for the food and retail establishments. Several public restrooms have also been redesigned and upgraded to further improve the passenger experience.
