Lancome commissioned TPD Architecture to transform an existing low-ceilinged, dark, and secluded retail space at Bloomingdale’s, NYC into an open, high-ceilinged, modern Make-Up Colour Studio with ample natural and artificial light and a direct connection to Bloomingdale’s Main Floor and 59th Street. TPDA implemented Lancome’s vision of designing a “boutique within a store” prototype, giving Lancome a strongly defined brand within the larger framework of a NYC department store.
