The new headquarters of Mazama Capital Management, located in the Seagram Building in New York City, is the second office in this landmarked building that TPD Architecture has designed for this client, an Oregon-based investment company expanding its presence on the East Coast. Blending the company’s origins in Oregon with their desire for a sophisticated and serene corporate environment, natural woods, organic textures, rich materials and a warm color palette were introduced. The design approach respects and preserves the historic integrity of the Seagram Building, an icon of mid-century modern architecture. The newly designed interiors emphasize the functionalist aesthetic, the open plan, natural light, clean lines and richness of material.
